Everton are monitoring the availability of Kasper Schmeichel, according to reports.
The goalkeeper, 29, is said to be among a list of targets drawn up by new manager Ronald Koeman, with the Dutchman having already signed Maarten Stekelenburg as competition.
Schmeichel’s current release clause at the King Power Stadium is understood to stand at £17 million release and in the Liverpool Echo claim the Blues are monitoring his situation.
Everton could be rebuffed in their advances if Schmeichel decides to stay with the Foxes in order to help his side in their maiden Champions League campaign.
But Koeman is said to be keen to add an experienced, established number one as he begins to rebuild Everton’s quad ahead of his first season in charge.
Schmeichel joined Leicester from Leeds United in the summer of 2011, and has gone on to amass 220 appearances for the East Midlands club.
