Uniqlo set to open Liverpool store

Uniqlo are set to open a new store in Liverpool city centre.

The Japanese brand has previously operated in the city with an outlet in Speke’s New Mersey Retail Park during the early 2000s before closing.

But plans submitted to Liverpool City Council indicate that Uniqlo are planning to take over the former Tessuti store on Paradise Street in Liverpool One.

The application is seeking permission to display a series of window vinyl’s and signage in the shopfront alongside the company’s iconic logo at the entrance.

A minimum five-year term has been outlined for Uniqlo’s plans which would add another recognisable brand to the city’s sprawling retail development.

If approved, it would mark their second operational branch in the North West, joining an existing site at Manchester’s Arndale Shopping Centre.

No date has been confirmed for Uniqlo’s proposed opening date for the store.
