Tributes have poured in following the death of Liverpool actor Jake Abraham.
The Toxteth-born performer became best known for his roles in the films ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’, ‘Mean Machine’ and ‘The 51st State’.
Abraham also appeared in Alan Bleasdale’s drama GBH and regularly featured in the city’s theatre scene after starting out at the Everyman Youth Theatre.
The 56-year-old revealed earlier this year that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and said in July that he was receiving palliative care.
Tina Malone, who appeared alongside Abrahams on stage and screen, led the tributes to her fellow Scouser on social media after news of his passing.
She said: “I am heartbroken my screen and theatre husband, my mate of 50 years has passed.
“Talented, funny, kind, a true Liverpool legend RIP my darling.”
Liverpool theatre producer Nicky Allt added: “God bless Jake (Jake Abraham).
“My sparkly little Evertonian mate, the talented boy from Kenny (Kensington).
“Always a proper laugh & smile in work & play. Goodnight kid.”
