A new dive bar inspired by the Deep South is opening its doors in Liverpool.
Mean-Eyed Cat Bar will launch from the city centre’s Seel Street area at 7pm on Friday, February 24 with guests set to be offered complimentary cocktails.
The brand’s famous fresh pizzas will also be on the house, and live music that would make Johnny Cash, the inspiration behind the upcoming venue, proud.
As part of that commitment, the Cash Cows will perform three 40-minutes sets while a special photo booth has been set up for guests to take selfies.
There is also a hidden secret that will be revealed on the night.
Starting out in Leeds nearly two decades ago, Mean-Eyed Cat Bar is set to bring a dose of Southern charm to Liverpool’s popular nightlife scene.
Phil Harrison, from Mean-Eyed Cat Bar, said: “We can’t think of a better time to get involved in this wonderful city’s musical and bar nightlife.
“Our first event will give people a first look at what the Mean-Eyed Cat Bar is all about.
“Both myself and the family have huge ties to the city of Liverpool, and so it was really important to us to establish our second venue here.
“As long as you enjoy great music and a first-rate drinks menu, then this will be the perfect place to meet, relax and party.
“Liverpool is obviously a really unique place when it comes to culture, and we are proud that the Mean-Eyed Cat Bar will bring its own flavour to the mix.
“We want to offer a really laid-back approach, whilst behind-the-scenes we are all about providing a professional yet approachable service.”
