Women dies in Queens Square car park fall

A woman has died after falling from a car park in Liverpool city centre.

Emergency services were called to Queens Square in the early hours of Wednesday after reports that a person had fallen from the Q-Park building.

Merseyside Police confirmed that the woman was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene at around 1.30am. Her next of kin have been informed.

A force spokesperson said: “We can confirm that officers are currently at Queen Square in Liverpool this morning, Wednesday 23 November, following the death of a woman.

“The woman reportedly fell from the Q Park car park around 1am. She was sadly pronounced deceased at around 1.30am.

“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and the woman’s next of kin have been informed. Emergency services remain in the area to establish the full circumstances of this incident, which is not initially believed to be suspicious.

“The car park is currently closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area. Thank you for your patience as we deal with this incident.”
