A man has been arrested in connection with Olivia Pratt-Korbel’s murder.
Nine-year-old Olivia was killed after a gunman chased another man into her home on Kingsheath Avenue in Dovecot on the evening of August 22.
Thomas Cashman, 34, was charged over the schoolgirl’s murder while Paul Russell, 40, is also set to appear in court charged with assisting an offender.
Merseyside Police confirmed on Friday that they have detained another man on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the ongoing case.
A spokesperson said: “Officers involved in the investigation into the murder of nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel have today arrested a man on suspicion of assisting an offender.
“He has been taken to a police station where he will be interviewed by detectives.”
