Euro 2016 striker earmarked as Romelu Lukaku’s Everton FC successor

Graziano Pelle could follow Ronald Koeman in leaving Southampton for Everton this summer.

Reports in the Italy international’s homeland claim that he will lead the exodus from St Mary’s once Koeman’s appointment as Roberto Martinez’s successor is confirmed.

Pelle worked with the 53-year-old at AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord prior to their latest reunion at Southampton, where he recorded 14 Premier League goals last season.

And Tuttosport claim the striker, 30, could now succeed the want-away Romelu Lukaku in leading the line at Goodison Park.

Lukaku remains intent on leaving Everton to pursue Champions League football next season, which will leave the place as the club’s first-choice striker up for grabs.
