New Beatles themed bar heading to the city centre

One of the city’s old favourite watering holes will be coming back to life this Spring. Abbey Road Bar & Kitchenwill open at the end of March on Harrington Street at the site of  old favorite The Pen & Wig. Harrington Street is already home to firm favourites such as the Croc and nightclub Kingdom and will soon have a new neighbour.

Abbey Road, in  the commercial district of Liverpool City Centre , is a sister site to the successful Harrison’s Bar & Kitchen on the corner of North John Street and Victoria Street which has been a huge success since opening last year. Offering a great range of drinks as well as food the venue will have a 1am license. Nestled between Castle Street and North John Street it’s the ideal spot distance was for a pub lunch for the tens of thousands who work around the commercial area.

Much like it’s sister site, local artist Paul Curtis, has been appointed to decorate the walls with murals dedicated to the famous band. There will be both Liverpool themed and Beatles themed art to adorn the walls throughout the new venue.

It is understood that the food offering will be a tribute to the New York City Food Scene and be named John’s Kitchen.

General Manager of the site Brandon Soprano said “ We are looking forward to rejuvinating an iconic old site amongst Liverpool’s pubs and bars with a new concept in the heart of the business district. We are ideally located for the after work office crowd and we will be  showing all live sports. Our food menu is currently in planning  and will be something we will offer on a daily basis, changing each season.”
