Barcelona officials visit Anfield ahead of Main Stand completion

Barcelona officials have visited Anfield in order to gain insight for their plans to redevelop the Camp Nou.

Liverpool’s current expansion of the Main Stand will increase their overall capacity by an extra 8.500 seats with minimal disruption to the club’s fixtures in the current season, with games still played at the stadium.

And delegates for the Spanish giants have observed the project at close quarters on two visits to Merseyside in the hope of replicating the Reds’ success as part of their plans to expand the Camp Nou’s capacity to 105,000.

Work is due to start at the famous stadium in the 2017-18 season and scheduled to finish by 2022.
