Coleman injury adds to Everton selection woes

Everton are facing a selection headache ahead of Sunday’s visit of West Ham.

Seamus Coleman suffered an injury scare on Republic of Ireland duty which forced him to miss their midweek friendly with Poland due to a foot problem.

The right-back could become the seventh Blues player to be sidelined for this weekend’s clash as Marco Silva contends with a combination of absences.

Summer signing Richarlison is serving the second of a three-match ban for his red card against Bournemouth when the Hammers travel to Merseyside.

Fellow new recruits Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes are not expected to make their debuts for several weeks due to foot and hamstring injuries respectively.

Silva will also be without Theo Walcott, Idrissa Gueye, Michael Keane and Phil Jagielka for the visit of Manuel Pellegrini’s side to Goodison Park.

However the Everton manager could hand a senior bow to Bernard after the Brazilian winger stepped up his training with the first-team this week.
