Kurt Zouma has completed a season-long loan move to Everton.
Zouma spent the previous campaign at Stoke City and has made 71 appearances for Chelsea since arriving from Saint-Etienne in 2014.
The France international, 23, becomes Everton’s sixth major summer signing after they made a late transfer deadline day approach to the Londoners.
Marco Silva revealed on Friday there is no option to make Zouma’s Goodison Park stay permanent, as is the case for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.
Gomes joined defender Yerry Mina and Zouma’s compatriot Lucas Digne in making the move from the Spanish champions during the transfer window.
Silva has also added ex-Shakhtar Donetsk winger Bernard on a free transfer and Watford attacker Richarlison in an initial £35 million switch.
“I’ve had fantastic support from the owner, Mr Farhad [Moshiri], and from Marcel (Brands, director of football),” said the Everton manager.
“They have done fantastic work to sign new players. We sold some players and some on loan. We have a big number of players.
“It’s not just the players to come in but everyone did fantastic work.”
