England and Liverpool forward Danny Ings will be leaving the Merseysiders this summer in a bid to get a first team football elsewhere, according to reports from BBC. For this special we teamed up with John Mitchells, editor for FootballPredictions.com.
The 25-year-old, who is running on his contract with two years left, has been reported to have made an agreement with the Reds manager Jurgen Klopp to permit him to leave the club before the closure of the transfer window.
Ings, joined Liverpool in the summer of 2015 for a club-record fee of £6.5 million from Burnley, who he helped gain a promotion to Premier League in 2013 as runners up of the 2013/14 campaign in the Championship.
The same year he joined the Reds, Danny Ings suffered an anterior cruciate ligament damage in his left knee in a training session which saw him ruled out for what is left of the season. Returned sooner than expected starting in the last match of the 2015/16 season against West Brom.
Ings injury problems continued as he damaged his right knee the following year in a League Cup match which saw him on the sidelines for nine months.
Despite his injuries set back, Ings was able to feature for the Reds in the closing stages of the season being a mostly used as a substitute in the Champions League quarter and semi-finals, and a starter in te League.
Danny Ings was able to make a total of 14 appearances for Liverpool this season, scoring his first goal since Jurgen Klopp took charge as manager for the Reds. Despite several Premier League predictions having predicted something else Danny Ings wasn’t able to bring what everyone expected.
The 25-year-old managed one cap for England back in October 2015.
