Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic has joined Middlesbrough on loan.
The Bosnian midfielder found himself on the periphery of the first-team at Goodison Park this season, making just eight appearances in all competitions.
That alerted Boro boss Tony Pulis, who moved quickly to add Besic to their squad until the rest of the season in a transfer deadline day deal.
It remains unclear whether the agreement with Everton contains the option to make the 25-year-old’s switch permanent at the end of the current campaign.
Boro are currently eighth in the Championship, just three points out of the play-off places as they bid to secure a swift return to the Premier League.
Besic joined Everton in 2014 from Hungarian side Ferencvaros.
