Seamus Coleman to make Everton comeback

Seamus Coleman will make his Everton comeback on Tuesday evening.

Coleman has not featured for the Blues since a broken leg while on international duty in March last year prompted a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The full-back suffered the injury during the Republic of Ireland’s World Cup qualifier with Wales which ruled him out of action for the rest of 2017.

But Sam Allardyce revealed last week that Coleman had returned to full training and is now set to make his long-awaited appearance in the club’s under-23 setup.

Everton confirmed that the 29-year-old will feature for David Unsworth’s side when they take on Portsmouth in the Premier League Cup at Goodison Park.

A win for the hosts would see them overtake the South Coast outfit in Group F.

Meanwhile Everton have confirmed that Aaron Lennon has joined Burnley.

Lennon made 19 appearances in all competitions for the club this season and moves to Turf Moor for an undisclosed fee.
