Sandro Ramirez offered Premier League lifeline

Sandro Ramirez could be offered a Premier League lifeline at Newcastle.

The striker has been linked with a move away from Everton after failing to impress since last summer’s feted arrival from Malaga.

He has managed just 15 appearances in all competitions with a solitary goal coming in the Blues’ dismal Europa League group stage campaign.

Cenk Tosun and Theo Walcott’s respective arrivals this month have pushed Sandro further down the pecking order at Goodison Park.

A return to Spain has been mooted, with Sevilla, Valencia and former club Malaga both thought to be keen on the 22-year-old’s signature.

However the Daily Mail claim that Newcastle have made a bid to take him on loan until the end of the season, with Rafael Benitez requiring fresh fire power.

The Magpies are said to be willing to pay a £2 million fee to Everton for the privilege in addition to matching his reported £100,000-a-week wage.

However the top flight strugglers will have to convince Sam Allardyce, with the Toffees manager thought to believe Sandro still has a role to play in his side.
