David Moyes has confirmed West Ham will rival Everton for Steven N’Zonzi.
The Blues are expected to move for the Sevilla midfielder, with Sam Allardyce keen on a reunion with the player after working together at Blackburn Rovers.
But they will likely face stern competition next month as the Hammers prepare to join Arsenal in the hunt for N’Zonzi, who wants to leave the La Liga side.
And Moyes has admitted that he would be prepared to rival his former club in the transfer marked should the France international, 29, become available.
He said: “I think he’s somebody who would be of interest to us if he came on the market.
“I wouldn’t say that about others, but he’s not playing for some reason at Sevilla – albeit the manager’s gone, so maybe that changes the situation there.
“Overall, it’s not something I can say I’ve done anything with.”
