Allardyce confident of landing La Liga target

Everton manager Sam Allardyce is reportedly confident of securing a deal for Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi.

The Blues boss will be handed significant funds in the January transfer window after making a winning start to life at Goodison Park.

And chief among his targets is N’Zonzi, who is available after falling out with Sevilla boss Eduardo Berizzo.

According to the Mirror, Everton believe they are in pole position to sign N’Zonzi on loan with a view to making the move permanent in the summer.

They are not the only Premier League side interested in his services, though; with Arsenal and West Ham United also keen.

Indeed, the Hammers are thought to be looking to hijack the Blues move for the France international by holding talks with the player this week.

Allardyce will be sure he can fend them off given he has an existing relationship with N’Zonzi having brought him to Blackburn Rovers when he was in charge at Ewood Park.
