Liverpool and Everton’s FA Cup clash will be a Friday night affair.
Both sides will face off in this weekend’s Premier League clash at Anfield before the 230th Merseyside derby at the beginning of next month.
The third round tie between the Reds and Blues has been confirmed as a 7.55pm kick-off on Friday, January 5 with BBC One broadcasting the game live.
Everton have received an allocation of 7,946 tickets for their trip across Stanley Park, which will come just 26 days after this Sunday’s encounter.
Sam Allardyce is set to take charge of his first game since being appointed Ronald Koeman’s permanent successor at Goodison Park.
The Merseyside derby will also be one of two fixtures exempt from the Football Association’s trialling of Video Assistant Referees (VAR) on third round weekend.
Games staged at Premier League stadiums will qualify for the new technology with the exception of the Anfield game and Brighton’s clash with Crystal Palace.
FA chiefs are believed to consider the two derby fixtures too high-profile to showcase a VAR test, with both games being broadcast on television.
