Allardyce eyes La Liga star reunion at Everton

Everton are ready to offer Steven N’Zonzi an escape from his Sevilla nightmare.

N’Zonzi is struggling at Los Nervionenses since falling out with Eduardo Berizzo after he was substituted in their Champions League draw with Liverpool.

He was reportedly forced to train in isolation and was omitted from Sevilla’s match day squads for their recent encounters with Villarreal and Caratagena.

The France international spent a season working under Sam Allardyce during his time at Blackburn and the new Blues boss is understood to be keen on a reunion.

Allardyce has turned his attention to bolstering his new ranks at Goodison Park and identified midfield as a key area to strengthen in the January transfer window.

However Everton would be forced to pay upwards of £25 million for N’Zonzi, who signed a contract extension which commits his future to Sevilla until 2020.

Juventus were previously tracking the former Stoke City midfielder, 28, after he rose to prominence for his resolute style.
