Everton are among a host of Premier League clubs chasing Jack Harrison.
Harrison’s second season with New York City ended on a disappointing note as they lost 4-3 to Columbus Crew in the MLS play-offs last weekend.
However the England under-21 international is continuing to attract interest from the Blues as well as Leicester City and Brighton and Hove Albion.
And the Daily Mail claim that Harrison, 20, would conceivably command a fee in the region of £6 million in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Stoke-born winger was previously on Manchester United’s books before moving Stateside at the age of 14.
He scored 10 times in 32 league appearances for NYC last season and a further four during his breakthough campaign in 2016.
