Emre Mor’s ex-agent has confirmed that he held talks with Everton this summer.
The Borussia Dortmund midfielder was linked with the Blues and local rivals Liverpool earlier this month as he sought to seal a move away from the club.
Dortmund excused Mor from first-team duties as he attempted to clinch a deal with a host of elite European clubs in the current transfer window.
But Bariz Soofizadeh, who represented the Turkey international until recently, has admitted that talks were also held over a possible move to Goodison Park.
“We held talks with both Everton and Huddersfield,” he told Ajanspor.
“Two Bundesliga clubs were also interested [and] we came close to striking deals with Fiorentina and Inter.
“We were in agreement with Inter, but then they decided to change figures in the contract. They also wanted to enter an €80 million release clause and made some absurd claims.
“The Chinese owner always proposed re-negotiations when you could not find an agreement. The deal was stopped because of Inter.
“He has always wanted Inter. Lille wanted him. Betis also followed him.
“Emre wanted to go to Real Madrid or Barcelona but neither expressed an interest in him.”
Mor, 20, won the German Cup in his first season at Signal Iduna Park, scoring just once in 12 appearances.
