Everton will face either SK Brann or Ruzomberok in their Europa League qualifier.
Brann previously faced the Blues in the same competition during the 2007/08 season, when they lost 8-1 on aggregate in a last 32 encounter.
Should they beat Ruzomberok, the Norwegians will return to Goodison Park, where they suffered suffered a 6-1 hammering in 2008, on July 27.
Ronald Koeman’s side would travel to the Brann Stadion seven days later for the return fixture in the event that the Slovakian minnows are overcome in their tie.
Brann currently take a 1-0 lead in their tie with Ruzomberok, who finished third in their country’s Super Liga, into next Thursday’s concluding game.
Back in February 2008, Victor Anichebe and Leon Osman had given Everton a first leg lead in Norway.
Goals from Andy Johnson, Mikel Arteta and a Yakubu hat-trick at Goodison ensured that David Moyes’ side booked their place in the tournament’s last 16.
