Everton have made a €25 million bid for Anderlecht midfielder Youri Tielemans.
Tielemans continues to catch the eye for the Belgian giants despite their Europa League quarter final exit to Manchester United earlier this month.
Ronald Koeman is monitoring the precocious teenager’s situation with Anderlecht but the Blues will face a fight to land him in this summer’s transfer window.
According to Belgian newspaper Sport/Foot, Monaco are also vying for Tieleman’s signature and currently the firm favourites to win the race.
The player’s agent Christophe Henrotay retains good links with Everton chairman as the representative of winger Kevin Mirallas and previously Romelu Lukaku also.
He also acted as an intermediary in the club’s pursuit of Standard Liege striker Ishak Belfodil in January which was later scrapped on Koeman’s insistence.
Anderlecht’s sporting director Herman Van Holsbeeck previously warned that Tielemans would cost more the £19m fee Leicester City paid for Wilfred Ndidi.
