Ronald Koeman has hailed Romelu Lukaku as world-class after his four goals helped Everton see off Bournemouth at Goodison Park.
The Belgian was on hand to fire his side into the lead inside a minute when he curled past Artur Boruc from the edge of the box.
He bagged his second 28 minutes later when he calmly finished past Boruc again after being played in by a wayward back pass from Simon Francis.
His third and fourth goals of the afternoon came in a superb two minutes salvo in as Everton added three goals inside the final ten minutes to finish the game as 6-3 winners.
With four goals to his name, the Everton forward took his total this season to 16, a tally that sees him sitting at the top of the Premier League goal scoring charts.
It was an impressive and clinical show of finishing from the striker and his manager was full of praise for his star man.
“He’s a world-class striker. He’s improving but its big quality that he’s showing every day,” he said.
“In training, it’s something that’s not so difficult but in the game to be that clinical what he was today in finishing its one of the best.
“I have the pleasure every day to stay and to be on the pitch when he is finishing. He will always finish in training but its world-class quality what he has in scoring goals.
“That was really important because to win the game today we needed to score at least four goals.”
