Ademola Lookman could make his full debut for Everton this weekend.
The 19-year-old has impressed since joining from Charlton Athletic last month with strong cameos against Manchester City, Crystal Palace and Stoke City.
Ronald Koeman previously admitted that he had been impressed with Lookman’s start to life at Goodison Park within days of his initial £7.5 million transfer.
And ahead of Saturday’s visit of Bournemouth, the Everton manager has hinted that the attacker may be handed a starring role in the coming weeks.
“I was pleased with him [against Stoke] but I felt he dropped back too much in the 20/25 minutes he played,” Koeman told evertonfc.com.
“I told the boy after the game that we need him more between the lines in front of the midfield players. Several times he came back on the same lines as the midfielders.
“If he can bring that speed and that quality further up the pitch then he will be more dangerous.
“But he is a young boy and he needs to learn. With game time he will improve.
“It is possible in the next couple of weeks he can start because he is that quality a player.”
