Darron Gibson and Bryan Oviedo are set to seal their Everton exits today by reuniting with David Moyes at Sunderland.
The pair have featured sporadically in Ronald Koeman’s plans, with Gibson’s only appearance of the season coming in the EFL Cup win over Yeovil in August.
Republic of Ireland international Gibson had previously signed a new two-year contract with the Blues last summer.
Oviedo, meanwhile, made his last of seven outings in the 5-0 humiliation by current Premier League leaders Chelsea almost three months ago.
Moyes is keen to link up again with the pair he signed during his final 18 months at the Goodison Park helm as Sunderland bid to battle against relegation.
The ex-Everton manager has already drafted three of his former stalwarts at the Black Cats this season in Steven Pienaar, Joleon Lescott and Victor Anichebe.
Jack Rodwell is also among the ranks of one-time Goodison players at the Stadium of Light following his 2014 arrival from Manchester City.
