Ajax have emerged as the latest club to target Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu.
Deulofeu remains intent on completing a move to AC Milan, who remain locked in talks with the Blues in a bid to secure the player until the end of this season.
Goodison Park officials have rejected the club’s offer of a dry loan but Milan chief Adriano Galliani has refused to rule out a deal involving a permanent fee.
But the Serie A giants and Middlesbrough have now been joined in the hunt for the Spain internaitonal by Ajax, who are open to also taking the player on.
Ronald Koeman was previously a player and manager at the Amsterdam Arena, and the Dutch side hope they can appeal to the Everton manager’s past in negotiations for Deulofeu.
The 22-year-old is seeking regular first-team football away from Goodison despite Koeman previously refusing to allow him to leave owing to Yannick Bolasie’s injury.
