Everton are set to add Ishak Belfodil to their growing January recruitment after Standard Liege accepted a £10.5 million bid for the striker.
Belfodil is an international team mate of Riyad Mahrez, who was also scouted and signed by the Blues’ director of football Steve Walsh during his time at Leicester City.
The Algerian, 24, has scored 10 times for Standard in this season’s Jupiler Pro League after joining the Belgian giants on a one-year deal last summer.
He previously enjoyed spells with Lyon, Parma and Inter Milan prior to moving to Standard from Abu Dhabi side Baniyas Club less than six months ago.
Ronald Koeman has already spent over £30 million on new signings this month in the captures of Ademola Lookman and Manchester United’s Morgan Schneiderlin.
Schneiderlin put the finishing touches on his move to Goodison Park on Tuesday afternoon after United accepted a £22 million bid for the unwanted midfielder.
