Everton have reportedly made an approach for Roma defender Kostas Manolas.
Frederic Massara, the Serie A club’s sporting director, visted London this week in a bid to hold negotiations with the Blues over plans to loan Gerard Deulofeu.
Roma are also chasing a short-term deal for Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda as well as attempting to offer Deulofeu a regular spell of first-team football.
But Sky Italia claim that Everton are hoping to secure centre-back Manolas’ signature as part of the Deulofeu discussions taking place with Massara in the capital.
Chelsea previously targeted the Greece international, who has encountered a series of injuries this season, but were met with resistence by the Giallorossi.
