Everton FC’s Romelu Lukaku told to join Manchester United

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku’s father has said that he would prefer for his son to move to Manchester United this summer.

It is understood that several European elite clubs including Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich have been alerted to the 22-year-old’s current run of form, which has seen him score 18 Premier League goals.

Interest from a number of Everton’s top-flight peers has also peaked in recent months.

And Roger Lukaku also confirmed that the Old Trafford club have expressed an interest in the Belgium international.

He said: “He’s ready. I see that there is interest from Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester United.

“I think he must choose Manchester United or Bayern Munich. Manchester United is a team under construction with no real focus.

“Bayern Munich is a machine where he can rotate well. The only condition is if Robert Lewandowski leaves.”
