Iliman Ndiaye has lifted the lid on Everton’s secret in their win over Tottenham.

David Moyes claimed his first victory since returning to the Goodison Park hot seat as his side edged out a five-goal thriller in Sunday’s Premier League encounter.

But while the visitors were able to snatch two late goals, the Blues had already headed in at the half-time interval with a comfortable three-goal cushion.

Ndiaye opened his league account at Goodison in that opening 45-minute blitz and admits that a perfect combination allowed them to down Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Asked what led to that first-half display, he revealed: “Everything.

“We brought energy, and the fans were behind us, obviously a bit more structured, and everyone knows what each other is doing.

“The new manager has come in, and it is getting a bit more clearer what we want to do.

“Everyone is on the same page, the fans are behind us, and everything just clicked.”

Ndiaye also believes Everton have been given more licence to attack under Moyes but is refusing to get carried away after their first win in seven top flight games.

“The way we are structured, and obviously the strikers need to go more forward when we regain the ball,” he admitted.

“We are closer to the goal and closer to each other, which is what we want.

“I don’t know if it is freedom, but the whole team is just clicking. I feel like that is what is most important.

“We can’t let one game determine the rest of the season.

“We just need to show in the next games that we have got and repeat what we did today.”
