Minella Rocco ruled out of 2018 Grand National

Top-weight Minella Rocco is out of tomorrow’s £1-million Randox Health Grand National.

The eight-year-old was announced a non-runner today at 10.04am this morning. He was self-certified on account of the ground.

This means that first reserve THUNDER AND ROSES (10-10-05, Gigginstown House Stud/Mouse Morris IRE/J J Slevin) comes into the race.

Thunder And Roses will take the saddlecloth number of Minella Rocco (number 1). Saddlecloth numbers for all 39 other runners remain the same.

As Minella Rocco was top-weight, the weights for all runners are raised one pound. The new top-weight is now Blaklion with 11st 10lb.
