Liverpool confirm Salah injury scan results

Liverpool have confirmed that Mohamed Salah will play again this season.

Salah’s Anfield career risked coming to a premature end ahead of his planned departure this summer after suffering a hamstring injury last weekend.

The Egypt international limped off in the second half of Saturday’s 3-1 win over Crystal Palace, leading to fears he would bow out ahead of schedule.

But the Reds confirmed on Wednesday that the results of Salah’s scan showed a minor muscle injury that will see him feature again in this campaign.

“Liverpool FC can confirm Mohamed Salah is expected to be available to play again before the end of this season,” read a club statement.

“The No.11 was substituted during the second half of last Saturday’s Premier League win over Crystal Palace at Anfield.

“The issue that caused his withdrawal has now been confirmed as a minor muscle injury.

“It is, however, anticipated Salah will return to action ahead of 2025-26’s conclusion and his departure from the Reds this summer.”
