Luis Diaz is considering leaving Liverpool amid Bayern Munich’s growing interest.
Diaz has been courted by both the Bundesliga champions and Barcelona this summer as he enters the final two years of his existing contract on Merseyside.
A move to the Saudi Pro League has also been touted with Al-Hilal said to be considering a bid after failing to lure Bruno Fernandes from Manchester United.
But Bayern’s opening gambit for the Colombia international of around £58 million was rebuffed by the Reds, who currently have no intentions of selling the forward.
Arne Slot’s side see Diaz as an integral part of their plans as they intend to stage a formidable defence of their Premier League crown during the new campaign.
However the 28-year-old, who signed from Porto in 2022, is understood to be open to leaving the English champions and admitted in June he was relaxed on his future.
“I’m very happy at Liverpool, I’ve always said so,” he said at the time.
“They’ve welcomed me very well from day one.
“We’re currently in contact with Liverpool because we’re talking to [other] clubs, and that’s normal given the transfer market opening.
“We’re trying to work out what’s best for us. I’m just waiting to see what happens.
“If Liverpool gives us a good renewal or I still have the [two] years left with them, I’ll be happy and content there.”
