Bill Shankly’s transformative Liverpool reign is set to be charted in a new TV series.
Production company A24 are set to take on the multi-episode drama which will recreate the club’s incredible rise under Shankly’s tutelage during the 1960s.
The series will be filmed in the city and at Anfield as part of the project which will be produced in association with Box To Box, who were behind Formula: 1 Drive to Survive.
Shankly’s granddaughter Karen Gill and the club itself will be on hand to ensure historical accuracy in the process of retelling the legendary Scot’s body of work.
She said: “I think it’s a wonderful way to share the story of my grandad’s time at LFC.
“Anybody who knows anything about the club knows what it meant to Bill Shankly.
“This is going to be a must watch for all Liverpool fans and it’s a privilege to have the chance now to showcase his story to the wider world.
“I’m looking forward to seeing how this project unfolds and being a part of it.”
