Alisson is in line for a return to action ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Wolves.
The Brazil international missed two games after picking up a hamstring injury in the build-up to last weekend’s eventual 3-0 home win over Bournemouth.
Caoimhin Kelleher deputised in Alisson’s absence against the Cherries and for Wednesday’s Carabao Cup third round rout over West Ham United.
But Arne Slot revealed on Friday that the Reds’ established goalkeeper should be available for his side’s game at Molineux after resuming training.
He said: “We think he is [ready to play].
“He trained yesterday a part of our session with the group, so we’re expecting him to do the whole session today. So, we think he is available but of course we have to train today.
“Of course we’re really happy with Alisson being back but I want to emphasise the fact that Caoimhin did really well in the two games he was in goal for us.
“So, another example of me having two, and I think even three, good options in certain positions.”
Slot’s side travel to the Black Country looking to build on an incredibly strong start after winning six of their seven opening fixtures in all competitions.
But the Liverpool head coach pinpointed this month’s shock home loss to Nottingham Forest as a reason not to get carried away with recent results.
“I think it’s been a positive start, with the small disappointment of losing to Nottingham Forest,” added Slot.
“It is always disappointing to lose at home, especially with a team not challenging for the top four, but you never know what Forest are going to do this season.
“The style of play is similar to the last nine years, but that’s good because the squad is similar to what Jurgen Klopp had.
“Maybe it will get harder because of the next fixtures. It has been a good start, but not a perfect one.”
