Liverpool’s meeting with Midtjylland will go ahead as originally planned.
Jurgen Klopp’s side faced a potential relocation of their final Champions League group encounter against the Danish champions on December 9.
Quarantine measures for anyone returning to the UK from Denmark had threatened to see the Reds’ final Group D game moved to a different country.
Germany appeared a viable option with Klopp tipped to lead out the Premier League champions at his one-time stomping ground of Signal Iduna Park.
Earlier this week, Borussia Dortmund confirmed that they would be hosting the clash between Midtjylland and Liverpool due to the UK restrictions.
However in light of the Government’s relaxed travel corridor, Midtjylland announced on Friday that the match will be played in Denmark as scheduled.
“The English authorities last night eased the travel restrictions aimed at Denmark… so we can confirm that the match will be played at the MCH Arena as planned,” read a club statement.
“We remain aware of the situation and are in constant dialogue with the relevant parties.”
Liverpool won the corresponding fixture at Anfield and could book their place in the knockout stage before the next meeting if they can overcome Ajax.
