He rarely put a foot wrong when coming up against the previously high-flying Foxes’ forward line spearheaded by a similarly evergreen Jamie Vardy.

Immortality has always beckoned for this current Liverpool side.

Ray Clemence’s recent passing generated a plethora of tributes at Anfield.
