Jordan Pickford has been shortlisted for the Premier League’s Save of the Season.
The Everton goalkeeper finished the current campaign with a record-setting haul of four top flight Save of the Month accolades for two crucial stops.
Pickford’s acrobatic effort to deny Joshua Zirkzee in the Blues’ long-awaited win away to Manchester United saw him claim the league’s December award.
He followed that up in February with another stunning save to keep out a volley from Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali in a 3-2 victory for David Moyes’ side
The latter feat saw Pickford pull clear of Arsenal stopper David Raya for the most Save of the Month awards since its inception at the start of 2022/23.
Both of his saves will go up eight of his counterparts including Raya as well as England international teammates James Trafford and Aaron Ramsdale.
Pickford previously won the inaugural Save of the Season for an instinctive reflex that helped Everton to a crucial win over Chelsea in May 2022.
He would become the most successful recipient of the award if chosen again for this season, with no other goalkeeper winning it more than once.
The winner of the award will be decided by a public vote through the Premier League’s official platforms that runs until 12pm BST on Wednesday, May 27.
