Everton handed boost ahead of Man City clash

Everton have received a boost ahead of their clash with Manchester City.

Beto is back in contention for David Moyes’ side after being cleared from a concussion suffered during last month’s Merseyside derby defeat to Liverpool.

The Guinea-Bissau international had to be withdrawn after a clash of heads with Ibrahima Konate towards the end of the 248th showdown between the clubs.

But Beto, previously one of three ever-presents for the Blues this season, was photographed in training with David Moyes’ side at Finch Farm on Thursday.

He was joined in the first-team ranks by rising academy star Braiden Graham, who was involved in two of Everton’s match day squads earlier in the campaign.

Meanwhile Jordan Pickford is in the running for the Premier League’s April awards.

The Everton goalkeeper is up for Save of the Month for an 11th time after winning February’s accolade which earned him a new top-flight record in the category.

Pickford is aiming to claim the award for a third time this term and extending his tally to five overall after denying Brentford’s Mathias Jenson in last month’s 2-2 draw.

He will discover whether he has been successful after a public vote that ends on May 4, the same day the Premier League title chasers visit Hill Dickinson Stadium.
