Andre Gomes will miss Everton’s run-in after being banned for violent conduct.
Gomes accepted the Football Association’s charge in relation to an alleged stamp on Aleksandar Mitrovic during the Blues’ 2-0 defeat at Fulham last weekend.
The incident went unnoticed by referee Lee Probert at the time but examined TV footage has seen the Portuguese midfielder serving a three-match suspension.
It means Gomes will be unavailable for Everton until the final day of the current campaign, when Marco Silva’s side are set to travel to Tottenham.
Silva has previously admitted that he is keen to secure a permanent deal for the 25-year-old, who is at Goodison Park on a season-long loan from Barcelona.
Since arriving from the Spanish champions, Gomes has made 28 appearances in all competitions for Everton and scored once, in January’s 3-1 defeat to Wolves.
