Marco Silva insists he is not planning ‘radical’ changes to arrest Everton’s slump.
Tuesday’s visit to Cardiff City will be the Blues’ first game in 17 days after a dismal run of form that saw just two Premier League victories since 2019.
Silva’s side face a testing week with their trip to the Welsh capital followed by a Merseyside derby showdown with title-chasing Liverpool at Goodison Park.
But the Everton manager is preparing to stick to his principles in efforts to bring about an end to the current malaise.
“I’m not doing anything radically different. No,” said Silva.
“If you try to change everything radically that means nothing we did makes sense but that’s not what I’m thinking.
“There were very good things the first three or four months. We have to understand why that has happened. The last few games I didn’t see either team control the game.
“We are losing points and not achieving points in the detail. This is where we need to work as a team – focus during the 90 [minutes].”
He added: “We don’t have to change nothing.
“I’m not happy with last results or position but everything is open for us and we don’t have to change what was our goal at the start of the season.
“We have to look at each match as a final for us, playing with confidence is main thing for us now.”
