Joel Robles’ Everton career is set to end with a summer move to Getafe.
Robles spent five years with the Blues but was unable to unseat a succession of goalkeepers including Tim Howard and England’s Jordan Pickford.
He made just two appearances in last season’s dismal Europa League campaign and failed to make any Premier League outings for the club.
The 27-year-old will be out of contract at Goodison Park by the end of June and reports in Spain suggest he will rejoin his hometown club Getafe.
It will be Robles’ first involvement in La Liga since leaving Atletico Madrid in 2013 to link up again with erstwhile Everton manager Roberto Martinez.
Martinez had taken the stopper on loan at Wigan Athletic, where the pair lifted the FA Cup before the Catalan’s appointment as David Moyes’ successor.
Robles is expected to become Getafe’s replacement for Vicente Guaita, who is tipped to join Everton’s Premier League counterparts Crystal Palace.
