Robert Elstone will stand down as Everton’s chief executive this summer.
Elstone is set to depart Goodison Park’s corridors of power in favour of a role in charge of Super League after almost a decade within the club’s hierarchy.
The 53-year-old’s deputy Denise Barrett-Baxendale has been confirmed as his successor amid a series of seismic changes by the Blues at boardroom level.
Also set to make way in the reshuffle is Jon Woods, who relinquishes his current position as Deputy Chairman to fellow board member Dr Keith Harris.
Alexander Ryazantsev, an ally of Everton’s majority investor Farhad Moshiri, will take up a new role as the club’s Chief Finance and Commercial Officer.
“I am so proud to be given this opportunity and grateful for the support of the chairman, board of directors and Mr Moshiri,” said Barrett-Baxendale.
“I fully understand the privileged position that I will be taking up and the responsibilities that come with it.
“This is a great club – footballing royalty – with the best, most committed fans and I can assure every single Evertonian that I am completely committed to driving our club forward and making the most of the opportunities that we have.
“I know what the priorities are and I’m determined that we make progress in these areas.
“It’s also important to me that we make our progress in the right way – in the ‘Everton way’ – and this includes listening, consulting and collaborating on all important club matters.”
Further changes are to take place at Goodison later this week, with manager Sam Allardyce expected to be relieved of his duties in the next 48 hours.
Steve Walsh’s future as Everton’s director of football is also under scrutiny with PSV Eindhoven’s sporting chief Marcel Brands waiting in the wings.
