Plans for a statue of Everton’s Holy Trinity have been submitted.
The Blues’ iconic midfield trio of Alan Ball, Howard Kendall and Colin Harvey will be commemorated with a new sculpture outside Goodison Park.
A formal proposal submitted to Liverpool City Council identified the Church of St Luke of the Evangelist as the location for the raised plinth tribute.
The three-figure design will sit in front of the church on Goodison Road, close to the stadium, with paving adjusted and extended to accommodate it.
Everton have commissioned Tom Murphy, who previously created the Dixie Dean statue which sits outside the Park End stand, to produce the Holy Trinity tribute.

The club’s submission document also outlined the reasons for the tribute, which has been an initiative driven by the Everton Fans’ Forum since 2016.
It reads: “Everton Football Club has for a long time wanted to honour three of the club’s greatest footballing legends. Howard Kendall, Colin Harvey and Alan Ball, affectionately known by Evertonians as the ‘Holy Trinity’.
“Although past tributes to the players, like the huge mural on the Goodison Park Main Stand gable, have been well received, the club wanted a more permanent reminder of the trio and their contribution to the club.”
