Police have arrested and charged a Tuebrook man after Liverpool’s Metropolitan Cathedral was ransacked earlier this month.
A quantity of cash was taken during the raid in the early hours of October 5 with thieves caused significant damage to the containers in the process.
Detectives arrested Christopher McGlynn on Saturday morning (October 29) and charged the 44-year-old with burglary.
McGlynn remains in custody ahead of a hearing at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Adult Remand Court this morning.
