Suspect in Aigburth charity shop murder ‘knew’ his victim

A man killed in an Aigburth charity shop may have known the person accused of his murder.

Emergency services were called to Remar UK Furniture shortly before 1pm on Wednesday afternoon following reports that a man had been injured.

Police confirmed that the victim found at the store on Aigburth Road yesterday afternoon was a 36-year-old from Salford in Greater Manchester.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and a 28-year-old man, healing also from the Salford area, is currently being questioned after being arrested on suspicion of his murder.

Detectives believe that both the victim and the current suspect may known each other.
