A man is in a serious condition following a stabbing in a Birkenhead street.
Police have closed Argyle Street after reports of an attack in the area during the early hours of this morning close to The George and Dragon pub.
The 29-year-old victim has been taken to hospital with injuries from what detectives are describing as a ‘serious assault’.
