Teenager arrested after causing Liverpool city centre crash

A 16-year-old is set to appear in court following a car crash that left four people with minor injuries.

Police have charged the boy, from Halewood, medicine with dangerous driving and driving without insurance in the incident on Tuesday night.

Officers received reports of a silver Ford Focus being driven erratically through Liverpool city centre at around 9pm on July 26.

Requests for the driver to stop the vehicle were ignored before he collided with a silver Ford Fiesta on Myrtle Street at the junction with Grove Street.

The teenager has been bailed to appear at Liverpool and Knowsley Youth Court on Tuesday, August 9.
