Billy Moore charged over Kirkby gym fight

Two men have been charged over a fight that broke out in a Merseyside gym.

Police were called to the David Lloyd facility on Knowsley Industrial Estate in Kirkby at around 6.10pm on April 27 after a brawl in the changing area.

Both men were arrested on suspicion of affray during the incident, which went viral on social media after an onlooker recorded footage of the skirmish.

The pair are now set to face charges of using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour with intent to cause fear or provocation of unlawful violence.

YouTuber Billy Moore, who confirmed that he was one of the men involved in the fight, will appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on September 9.

Paul Carragher, 46 from Crosby, is also appearing in court on September 1.

Merseyside Police are continuing to appeal for information about the incident.
